Geeky Room (GR) strives to be the source of the best new ideas for people creating, leading, and transforming business in technology area. GR’s blog covers a wide range of topics meant to inform, inspire, advise, and provoke business leaders from many different industries who have to be in touch with technology on their day-to-day functions.

While the topics may vary, our blog seek to provide one thing: fresh insight to our readers, helping them to think and act differently on both of their daily-life and professional challenges.

A successful blog post for geekyroom.com tries to include as many of these traits as is possible and appropriate:

  • Fresh news – Provide reader with news that potentially or eventually impact either their home or office life.
  • Offers a clear point of view – Take a stand; give people something to react to. Ideally, this will be based on your area of expertise or research.
  • Is practical – Can a reader use this in his/her daily-life, career, organization, or industry?
  • Is around 300-700 words – A post should stick to one topic or one idea. If your idea is too complicated to fit in less than 700 words, it’s not a good blog post.
  • Doesn’t use jargon – Please keep your message clear. A lot of our site visitors come from non-English countries, where such jargon may not be commonplace.
  • Resonates with people personally or elicits a visceral reaction.
  • Can be generalized - We love rules. If your post lends itself to a compelling rule or series of rules, consider that construct if appropriate.
  • Tells a great story – Illustrate your point with a company example or relevant story from outside the world of business.
  • Offers new material – As a matter of policy, we do not typically republish posts which have been published elsewhere on the web.
  • Isn’t excessively promotional – This is a place for you to share your news, ideas, advice, and expertise, not the place to sell your business.
